Williams Racing has unveiled its 2025 Formula 1 car, the FW47, during a special event at Silverstone on February 14, 2025. The car was showcased in a bespoke one-off livery, with the official race livery set to be revealed at the F1 75 Live season launch event at London’s O2 Arena on February 18.
The event marked the debut of Williams’ new driver lineup, featuring Carlos Sainz Jr., who joined from Ferrari, alongside returning driver Alexander Albon. Sainz had the honor of taking the FW47 for its inaugural laps around the Silverstone circuit during the promotional event.
A significant highlight of the FW47 is the inclusion of Williams’ new title sponsor, Atlassian, a software firm that has partnered with the team in what is described as the “biggest partnership deal” in Williams’ 48-year history.
Team Principal James Vowles expressed pride in the team’s progress, noting that the FW47 represents an evolution of the previous year’s car, with meticulous attention to detail. He emphasized the team’s commitment to continuous improvement as they prepare for the upcoming season.
The official race livery of the FW47 will be unveiled during the F1 75 Live season launch event at The O2 Arena in London on February 18, 2025. This event will feature all ten teams revealing their liveries and driver line-ups for the upcoming season.
Pre-season testing is scheduled to commence at the Bahrain International Circuit from February 26 to 28, with the season-opening Australian Grand Prix set for March 16, 2025.
